Kathy Parrish is the Community Impact Coordinator for the United Way of East Mississippi. She currently coordinates the Imagination Library Program, Income Tax Prep Program, and SHIP also known as State Health Insurance Assistance Program or Medicare Counseling. Kathy graduated cum-laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders and minors in English and Spanish from the University of Mississippi. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church and has served on the Meridian Speech and Hearing Center as Board Member/President, Meridian Little Theater Board Member/First Nighter’s Chair, Junior Auxiliary of Meridian Member/Executive Board/Sponsorship Chair and Respect Chair, Respect Program Coordinator and teacher to all Middle Schools in Meridian and Lauderdale County, and Dig and Dream Garden Club President and Treasurer. Kathy has 3 children, Jackson, Chandler Grace and Bo, and they are by far her proudest accomplishment. She has lived and worked in Meridian for 18 years and has a heart for volunteering and helping others in her community.
